Capri has a wonderful coastline which can only be appreciated by sea. .

The coast is also formed by numerous caves with steep cliffs that drop sharply to the sea. Under the rocks there are many caves, which in the Roman period were used as nymphaeas of luxurious villas built during the Empire. The Roman emperors Augustus and Tiberius have undoubtedly contributed to the history of the island.

The Blue Grotto is the symbol of the island and brings a very long history with it. In 1826 was described in the stories of the German writer Augusto Kopisch, who spoke about its singular beauty in his novel. The cave has very ancient origins and it was certainly a nymphaea of one of the richest houses of the coast. Its light color is a miracle of nature. The Blue Grotto tour - book here
