The church is built in the Romanesque style with a bell tower high above the surrounding buildings  and its facade  is characterised by detailed columns and arches with sculptures. Inside the visitor can admire frescoes and mosaics whoch offers a glimpse of a significant role Amalfi played in the past of Mediterrenean region as a whole.

Amalfi Historical Centre

In the heart of Amalfi historical centre you will find a labyrinth of narrow streets, buidlings and squares brimming with an authentic Mediterrenean atmosphere.

Stroll through the maze of narrow streets to discver charming boutiques, shops, cafes and restaurants. Indulge in colours of hand painted ceramics , sample delicious limoncello made from world famous Amalfi lemons and indulge in freshly caught seafood dishes. Dont  miss the church of San Biagio, The church of Santa Maria Maggiore and the chapel of San Pantaleone.

Paper Museum

Since the Middle Ages, Amalfi has been one of the centers of paper production. The museum is housed in a paper mill built in the 15th century. The museum offers insights into the traditional tecniques used to produce paper and you can even make paper using the old process from cloth.
